Cassandra McGregor is a publisher in London. She's thirty eight and has now just told her fourth boyfriend to go to hell, something about finding him out with another woman.
Daniel Cantano is a New York detective lieutenant that has just passed the twenty five year mark on the force. His two daughters are telling him he needs to take a vacation and even more he needs to find a woman. Daniel's wife left him for another woman four years back and he just hasn't felt like striking out into the dating world. He works long hours, and to try to figure out the dating scene is too much for the early forties bachelor.
They both decide to get away to a favorite place to try and reclaim loves lost. Cassandra is unsure of her abilities to choose men, and Daniel wants to find someone to fill the hole in his life his divorce has left. They meet by accident in Rome and things start from there, on their way to Tuscany.
I began writing fiction when I retired in August 2009. I’d been thinking about it for several months prior but my wife, Linda, suggested that I needed more of a hobby than golf. Golf in Vancouver, Washington, in the winter, is no picnic. I started writing love stories and soon moved to detective stories, then mixed the two. I write from three to four hours every day seven days a week. I even write on vacation.
